The Big Cat is Back

Tiger Woods, renowned golfer and golf course architect, was recently spotted in New Jersey at the site of his latest project. Accompanied by his business partner, MLB superstar Mike Trout, Woods visited Trout National – The Reserve, a soon-to-be world-class golf facility. This sighting marks the first time the public has seen Woods in a video for quite some time, amidst his involvement in various news topics such as the PGA Tour’s agreement with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and his role on the Tour policy board.

Woods’ visit to New Jersey comes after his withdrawal from the Masters tournament, where he had achieved a record-tying 23 consecutive cuts. The reason for his withdrawal was attributed to plantar fasciitis in his right foot, which is the same leg that was severely injured in a car crash in California in February 2021. To address the post-traumatic arthritis resulting from the crash, Woods underwent a subtalar fusion procedure. This surgery involves fusing two bones together when one cannot be repaired or replaced, indicating the poor condition of one of the bones in Woods’ foot.

While it is challenging to assess Woods’ physical state based on a brief video, it is encouraging to see him back on his feet. As the biggest name in golf, fans and enthusiasts eagerly await updates on his progress and potential return to the sport.
